Good work on v.111, but... a few questions.
Firstly, getting the hard drive to autoboot with something useful.
I solved this by running ./runme as provided, then
A:\> xcopy *.* c:
but don't overwrite the two system files (you will be prompted).
At this point, HELP will get you the help screen - but the expected border characters are all 7-bit
Alt-X should exit the help system, and it does, but half-way up the screen, with a 'x' at the prompt... is the 'Alt' key working properly? OK - how do I get CODEPAGE 437? and will it show properly in Konsole? Now
A:\> QUITEMU
back to host system.
Edit mount and unmount scripts to your taste. I created ~/tiny directory and mounted there. Also edit runme script -
' hd.img' becomes ' @hd.img' to auto-boot to C: drive.
Run ./mount - now you can add whatever you want.
Edit AUTOEXEC.BAT to change A: to C: as needed, (and CONFIG.SYS too.)
I added XTGOLD - an ASCII-type file manager (mc will do this for you too).
Now ./unmount and ./runme
C:\> XTGOLD\XTGOLD gets me the expected - again with wonky borders. Function keys and Tab not working as they should to get me around the sections of the screen - I won't call them 'windows'
and/or out of this... crash it!
Some of the 'REM'd lines in CONFIG.SYS might get me to something more useable, but memory fades, and I'd need more documentation on 'SET', 'MODE', 'LH', 'HIMEM', etc...
One of the more useful commands missing here is 'DOSKEY'. Allows retention of keyed commands - as Linux does by nature.
Also remember using F3(?) to recall (part or all of) last typed line for easy amendment.
Second hard disk? I've had it working with 'hdc.img' in the runme script, but the 'if' test doesn't do 'hd*.img so I can add hdd.img to the next line. DOS should cope ??
